Michael Tipping

After Edinburgh, Mike headed down to Aston University in Birmingham where, after a few years of meddling with neural nets and such things, he was actually awarded a PhD. After a couple more years on a post-doc fellowship, Mike went off to work for the Forces of Darkness (sometimes referred to as "Microsoft") for an extended spell in Britain's most over-rated city, Cambridge.

Mike resigned from Microsoft in early 2006, and set up (with a colleague) his own company which dabbles both in scientific data analysis and video game technology.
