Greetings all,
After the Msc program, I went to do the PhD program in Cognitive Science in Edinburgh and finished in 1996. I then went contract consulting for a while, doing work for BT, HP, JP Morgan, LogicaCMG, Orange and other dull, large companies. This took me round Europe working for a few years and I then went to Switzerland to live in 2004 (with a summer back in Edinburgh doing some work for the Royal Bank) so I could stay near the Jung Institute and follow the analyst training program.

I left Scotland (and probably the UK) for good in early 2005 - I'd only been there on and off for years and it was getting silly. I consulted for Citigroup in Zürich whilst at the Jung Institute and am currently living in Los Angeles for a year or two with my wife who has an established clinical psychology practice in LA. Here, I'm doing an extended practicuum at the Southern California Counselling Center, seeing individual patients and more recently, couples and familes. This is part of the training in Switzerland and we intend to go back there late 2007 - there are very few places on earth I'd rather not be than LA and Zürich is near the bottom of the list. I'm also consulting for some internet-based companies in LA which is, ahem, the complete opposite of working for a Swiss-regulated bank in Zürich. I moved from a quiet, marvellous little place on a lake to Venice Beach, CA. It's been nearly a year and I'm still in shock …
