- After the MSc I went to Nottingham and discovered I wasn't an academic after all
- Then I went to Derby to work on submarines and discovered I'd rather go cycling
- Went cycling for a year
- Got a job as an Expert Systems consultant just as everyone was forgetting what expert systems were
- Joined Unilever (of Soap to Ice-Cream fame) and denied knowing about IT so I could focus on the people side of Knowledge Management, particularly around knowledge retention when people quit \ retire \ go cycling
- Found the knowledge management bandwagon was getting a bit crowded so defected to portals and collaborative working tools
- Recently set up my own business (http://www.clearboxconsulting.co.uk Clearbox Consulting) doing (5) & (6) and more (3) in-between
